How do I choose between Black Marble, Granite or Wood?
Granite is one of the hardest materials on the planet, and can withstand the outside elements. This is an excellent choice for an outside display. Black Marble is generally softer and prone to discoloration and damage and should be used indoors only. Granite color wise is a very dark grey, and Black Marble is black as black can be.
As far as a photo on Walnut, the contrast between the engraving and the natural wood tones is honestly gorgeous. Each of these materials offers a superbly crafted engraving, and regardless of choice in material, we are confident you will love the results.
Each engraving will have protective sealant applied to prevent moisture absorption and discoloration. Please take a close look at some of our photo samples as many also show the same engraving on multiple materials!
Will I get a proof before you begin the engraving?

What should I do if I don’t have a digital image?
A.If you only have a physical photo and you have a scanner:
Please scan at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. You can save your image as a jpg, tif, or bmp. If you have Corel Draw or PhotoShop, we can also accept those project formats. Please click here to go to the Contact us page for information on where email your digital image or project file.
B.If you do not have a scanner:
If a physical photograph is all you have, and you do not have a copy of it, please, if possible, try to get the photo scanned. Many of the quick printing companies, Costco and others have scanners that can provide a digital image, or can make a copy of your original on quality photo paper. If this is possible, email us the digital image or the copy of the photograph. Delivery companies make mistakes and they will not guarantee you’re your photograph will not be damaged, nor will they guarantee it will actually arrive at its intended destination. Although we are very cautious in protecting your memory, accidents can happen. If one photograph is all you have, please consider the options.
